How Safeguarding Works at DNA

We deliver training remotely, while learners work in real dental practices.

This means safeguarding covers two environments:

  1. Online Learning (DNA)
    • Safe, monitored communication systems
    • No learner-to-learner contact
    • Staff trained to identify signs of concern
    • Clear reporting and escalation processes
  2. Workplace (Employer)
    • Safe supervision and support
    • A named workplace mentor
    • Protection from bullying or unsafe practice
    • Clear responsibilities for employers

Our Safeguarding Approach

We follow a simple process:

Notice → Check → Share

  • Notice something that doesn’t feel right
  • Check by asking or observing appropriately
  • Share with the safeguarding team immediately

Prevent Duty

We are committed to preventing radicalisation and extremist influence.

We will act on concerns where someone may be vulnerable to:

  • Extremist ideologies
  • Radicalisation
  • Harmful or unsafe beliefs

We may work with external agencies where required.
